Bethany’s Christmas Market

I sold two paintings at the Christmas Market today. There were many kind compliments about my work. The crowd tended to be older so they expressed regret that there was no more room on their walls.

One lady promised to return later for a painting she admired, but she never did return. A better salesperson might have suggested putting the painting aside for her return, but I really hate to pressure people.

Art is very subjective. There is no way to know when someone will be drawn to your art. I’m not about the money so much as wanting my customers to enjoy my work as much as I enjoy painting it. I’m always both amazed and thrilled that people will give me money for my art. It never gets old.
